Ji Tu, MD, PhD

Dr. Ji Tu is now a Ph.D. scholar for Spine Service, St George & Sutherland Clinical School, UNSW; dedicating his time to exploring the molecular mechanism in spinal degenerative disease, and improving the clinical management and outcomes for people who suffer from musculoskeletal disorders of the spine.

Ji was granted a Masters Degree of Clinical Medicine from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Dr. Tu completed his surgical residency in Wuhan Union Hospital and became an orthopedic surgeon in 2018. 

Ji has been awarded many grants and scholarships, including the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship, University International Postgraduate Award of University of New South Wales, DAAD scholarship from German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Croucher Foundation scholarship in Chinese University of Hong Kong, excellent graduate of HUST, etc. He has 25 peer-review articles now (21 articles are Included in SCI), with 8 articles as first author.
