Jia-Ming Liu is an associated professor and also a spine surgeon in the Orthopedic Department, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University in Jiangxi Province.
He got his doctoral degree from the Peking Union Medical College at the year of 2012. And then he worked at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. In 2015, Dr. Liu obtained the position of vice chief physician of spine surgery. After that year, he visited Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in America as a scientific scholar, mentored by Dr. Khaled M Kebaish, to learn the advances in the fields of spine surgery.
Dr. Liu is a physician, and also a scientist. He focused his clinical and basic research work on spinal degenerative diseases and spinal cord injury. As a spine surgeon, he is skilled at spinal deformity correction for children and adults. He also led several basic researches on spinal cord injury and bone oncology, including the grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Jiangxi Province.
Dr. Liu got the honor of "outstanding young talent" of Jiangxi Province in 2016. He was also selected as one of the “Young academic leaders” in the hospital. Dr. Liu holds the membership in some societies and organizations, such as Health emergency committee of China Research Hospital Institute and Orthopedic committee of Jiangxi Medical Association. He also took part in the article review for several journals, including BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, Austin Spine, Plos One and so on.
